FAQ
-
We’ve simplified game preparation to in-house printing and the posting of signs along routes you select in your venue. All game assets are made available for download from Google Drive and you can attach your own customized or standard venue map to the game sheet for players to navigate with.
-
As players arrive, you’ll give them a game sheet and a pencil. They’ll scan a QR code to load the game website and the rest of the game is self-guided. Instructions and hints are provided to them along the way. When players leave, invite them to drop the pencils and game sheets into a receptacle for cleaning/recycling.
-
Games can be licensed per-day (for ticketed evening events), per month (for ticket add-ons), and as a site license for longer term use.
-
For an additional fee, game materials can be customized by adding your venue branding and messaging. Puzzles and features species are generally excluded from customizations — but if you have specific species or themes you would like your visitors to engage with in a brand new edition, please feel free to inquire about the possibility!

Yes! Locked Aquarium is designed to be a turn-key revenue generator for AZA-accredited venues. Hosts have been able to generate more than a 10x return on ticket sales alone, before food and beverage sales. One first-time host of our Locked Zoo game sold 1400 tickets for a single after hour event.
-
Our game licenses are fee-based. Host venues set their own ticket prices and keep 100% of the ticket proceeds.
